The program held on 31st on July 2025 from the communication committee:
The occasion commenced with a Holy Mass at 10:00 am on the school compound by Rev.Fr. Placidus Ezeji, the pariah priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish, Orsu Obodo. The readings were taken by the graduating students, named Agbasi Favour, who took the first reading and the responsorial Psalm by George Akachukwu* and Umelor Chikamma After the reception of the Holy Eucharist, there was a transition (handover ) of function to the new functionaries officially by our predecessors after the thanksgiving by the outgoing ss3 and the basic 9 students (graduants) followed suit; the staff of the school. After a little break to take pictures with some dignitaries and the graduates, the celebration party began.
The master of the ceremony (MC), Mr. Okwuoha Paschal Chidiebere, welcomed the very important personalities, including the principal Sister Mary Chika Dibia (PHJC), Sir Paschal Uche, Mrs Agbasi Chizoba, and ISOPADEC representative, Mrs Okwareze Noble, Hon.Anene Joseph Anene, and his friend, Sister Helen Okafor (PHJC), with Engr. Daniel Eneberi is absent.
The basic 9 students were ushered in with a dance, and after that, the SS3 students (pace setters) were ushered in with a dance, which was so amazing, followed by the opening prayer, which was led by Sister Helen Okafor (PHJC). Afterwards, the principal, Rev.Sister Mary Chika Dibia (PHJC), presents her wonderful welcome speech. Onuoha Emmanuel Mmaduabuchi (the senior head boy) was called to present his speech to the pace setters (SS3 students).
The junior head boy, *Agbasi Kamsiyochukwu Emmanuel, presents his speech also.
The welcome song was presented by the golden class (basic 7 students). Afterwards, the representative of the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Anene Joseph Anene, was called upon for his opening remarks and words of advice to the whole people present. Following thereafter, there was a callisthenics dance presented by some students.
Furthermore, the graduating students (the pace setters) were called upon for the lighting of candles, and Amos Finbarr and Mrs. Agbasi were invited to pray over the candles, representing the students and parents.
There was a cultural dance presented by the social club, which was enthusiastic. The basic 7(golden class) was called upon to present their word of wisdom to the outgoing students (pace setters). Students by the names Elekwachi Favour and Uchendu Gift spoke on the topic of the just-concluded career and talent program, which aligns with the theme: “Dangers in Choosing a Wrong Career in Life.”
The emeritus head boy, Ejekamba Promise, gave a valedictory speech as the former head boy of the school, which was followed by a drama presentation titled ” The Life Changer ” by the creative minds and the technique changers, respectively.
There was a cutting of the cake by the graduating students (pace setters)
PRIZE GIVING/ AWARD WINNING DAY
Immediately after cutting of cake, which started with the outgoing SS3 students and the basic 9 students respectively. Hon. Anene Joseph Anene and Engr. Daniel Eneberi was given an award as the outstanding supporter and benefactor of the school. There was also a special award of honour given to 3 students who were functionaries for their hard work in carrying out the school activities(the pace setters), and they are:
Bede Sopuruchi Godwin Chukwuebuka and Ejekamba Promise.
George Akachukwu and Umelor Chikamma were given an award of honour as the outstanding students in the choral.
Ejekamba Promise was awarded the best graduating student in SS3, while Akunebu Lilian was the best graduating student in basic 9 and also in the NECO BECE*6As*
There was an award for the best students in each class and subject, who were called upon. Starting from the junior section, Solomon Prince Fredrick was given the best basic 7 student with 15 subjects and the overall best student with a total average of 84 points in the 2024/2025 academic session.
Chukwu Chinaza is the best in Basic 8.
Elekwachi Favour is the best student in SS1 with 16 subjects and
Onuoha Emmanuel is the best student in SS2.
The farewell song led by the junior students to the pace setters was very emotional.
The closing prayer was led by the representative of the ISOPADEC, Mrs Okwareze Noble.
After the whole program, the curtain was drawn.
