INTER HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

    Thrilling inter-house competition at our school, 2026 inter-house sports competition, from 10th to 13th February, 2026.

The much anticipating inter house sports competition at our school kicked off with great enthusiasm, showcasing the talent, teamwork and sportsmanship of students across all houses. Spanning four (4) existing days. They even combined athletics with sprint competition, keeping everyone on their toes.

 Day 1 Tuesday 10th February. A strong start with football and athletics. The competition began with a grand football match, setting an energetic tone for the days ahead.

 Students demonstrated their prowess in track and field events, including javelin throw, discus throw and shot put. The audience cheered loudly as athletes showcased remarkable skills and determine making day 1 an electric flying opening of the games.

 Day 2, Wednesday 11th: Skill and speed took the centre stage.

 Day 2 brought a mix of indoor and outdoor sports. The badminton court saw fierce competition while the 800 metre race tested endurance. Teams battled it out in volleyball, and individuals displayed agility in the long jump, adding a fun twist, the sack race and filling the bottle competition had everyone laughing and cheering, making it a day of both skill and enjoyment.

Day 3. Thursday 12th February 2026: Football finale.

The excitement picked up on day 3 with the final football match by the winning teams ( Red house and Blue house female ) and ( Blue house and Yellow house for the male ). The stadium echoed with applause as the champions proudly displayed teamwork and strategies, earning admiration from fellow students and teachers alike.

Day 4. Friday 13th 2026: Grand finale.

The closing day was a spectacular blend of athleticism and celebration. The day began with a match past, showcasing discipline and unity. Students wore their colourful tracksuits, which marked recognition in their different houses. Track events like 200-meter race, relay race, 400-meter race and 100-meter race splint brought out the best in speed and stamina. In a special highlight, teachers and old students joined for a fun race, strengthening the bond across generations. The day concluded with a presentation of gifts and refreshments, celebrating the achievement of all participants and fostering a sense of camaraderie.

      The fourth day inter-house sports competition was a remarkable success, highlighting not only the physical ability of students but also their team spirit, dedication, and sportsmanship. It was an event that will be fondly remembered by all who participated and witnessed it. The Blue house (St. Katharina Kasper) emerged in the first position and gained the golden trophy. The Red house (PHJC Regional Leader) emerged in the second position and won the silver trophy, while the White house (Dr Peter and Mama Rita Calouri) came third and won the bronze trophy. The Green house (St. Patrick) came fourth, then the almighty Yellow house (PHJC Congregation) emerged in fifth position. The inter-house sports 2026 was indeed a remarkable week to remember.
